Our social value mission

Our Social Value mission is rooted in community. We are dedicated to building meaningful social value by nurturing strong, collaborative relationships with the people and places we serve. By engaging openly and respectfully with local communities, partners, and individuals, we strive to foster shared growth and create lasting, sustainable impact.

We believe that vibrant, inclusive communities are the foundation of a better future. That’s why we prioritise active dialogue, responsible action, and support for initiatives that address local needs and promote equity.

We are especially proud to stand with our local community, offering ongoing support to charities such as The Ferry Project and FACT.

Our vision is centered on making a positive impact in our community by promoting sustainable practices and fostering inclusivity.

We utilise our social value portal to effectively record, track, and evaluate our initiatives, transparency and accountability in our efforts. This platform allows us to measure the outcomes, helping us refine our strategies and maximise our contributions to social good.

Through this commitment, we strive to create meaningful change and inspire others to join us in our mission.

Social value in action

At RYR, social value isn’t a box-ticking exercise, it’s at the heart of everything we do. Whether we're on-site supporting coastal protection at Anderby Creek with Van Oord or working alongside teams in Jackson Civil Engineering, we make it a priority to recognise and appreciate the people driving progress every day.

This Easter, that meant more than just delivering infrastructure, it meant delivering smiles. From surprising on-site teams with Easter eggs to supporting local charities, we’re proud to spread a little seasonal joy while reinforcing our core values: community, care, and connection.

We believe small gestures can lead to meaningful impact. Because at RYR, it’s not just about what we build - it’s about who we build it for, and with.
