Statement neurodiversity

At RYR Community Liaison Consultants Ltd, we recognise and value neurodiversity as a vital part of an inclusive, modern workplace. We are committed to creating an environment where neurodivergent individuals - such as those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other neurological differences - feel respected, supported, and able to thrive.

Inclusive recruitment practices

We believe in a fair and accessible recruitment process for everyone. Our hiring methods are designed to focus on skills, strengths and potential—not conformity to one style of thinking or communicating. We take care to:

  • Ensure job descriptions and selection criteria are focused on the genuine requirements of the role.

  • Offer flexible working arrangements wherever possible

  • Avoid unnecessary barriers in language, process or assessment that could disadvantage neurodivergent applicants.

  • Make reasonable adjustments at every stage of the recruitment process, from application through to interview and onboarding

Support and reasonable adjustments

RYR Ltd is committed to making reasonable adjustments to support neurodivergent colleagues. This might include:

  • Adjusted working patterns or environments.

  • Alternative ways of communicating or completing tasks.

  • Supportive workplace technology or tools.

  • A flexible approach to supervision, performance reviews and progression.

We aim to ensure that neurodivergent team members are not only welcomed but given the tools and support to thrive. Our focus is on merit, potential and ability — never on ‘fitting in’.

A culture of awareness and respect

We encourage open conversations and education around neurodiversity and aim to build a culture where every individual can bring their full self to work. Our managers receive EDI training and are responsible for ensuring that all staff are treated with dignity and respect.

Monitoring and continuous improvement

We regularly review our processes to ensure they remain fair, inclusive, and free from bias. By listening, learning, and taking action, we strive to remove barriers and create meaningful opportunities for all.
